The Galician Town (the new section of the Sądecki Ethnographic Park)

Miasteczko Galicyjskie (The Galician Town) is a reconstructed town from the late 19th century. It is a part of the Sądecki Etnographic Park located in Nowy Sącz.
Miasteczko Galicyjskie has been reconstructed based on old plans and drawings of the towns of Stary Sącz, Lanckorona and Krościenko. Guests can visit the historic market and explore the town houses.
Nowy Sącz Royal Castle is 4 km from the property. Nowy Sącz Miasto Train Station is 3.9 km away, and the Market Square – 3.6 km away.
In the Galician Town is also a hotel.

The fifth anniversary of the Smolensk disaster

5 years ago as a result of the coup killed Polish President prof. Lech Kaczynski. With him died many great Poles, including Ryszard Kaczorowski, the last Polish president in exile.
The Presidents and the other flight attendants went to Katyn to commemorate the fallen Polish officers murdered by the NKVD, the spring of 1940. The Russians then murdered at least 21,768 Poles.

I sought out one of the photos that I did five years ago.
Photos of President Lech Kaczynski and the President Ryszard Kaczorowski put the the Town Hall after the attack.
My first blog post.

Park at the Royal Castle

The park, which I show, is on the site of the royal castle, which was demolished at the end of the Second World War. I mention this here.
There are no leaves on the trees allows you to show the park as a whole. We can also see the actual state of the ruins, which remained after the castle.

As you can see, this is another place in town that is not properly maintained and used.

Roman Stramka - in honor of the hero

Mural recently appeared on the wall of one of the blocks of flats. The founder of the mural are Sącz supporters club football (soccer).
Why in Poland venerated heroes in this way? Because Poland is such a strange country. The government does not want to remember the heroes. Therefore, ordinary people are trying to keep this memory.
